Ever wonder why you haven't been able to understand your maths classes? Ever think that you just don't go well with maths? Ever frown down at your test paper and think "FUCK!"?
Well, until recently, I haven't really thought that way. Then something my dad said in the past clicked to me. He said, "While going from kindergarten to the end of your high school career, you'll have no problems with any of your classes. However, once you enter college, that's a whole new ball park for you."
I have to respectfully agree with him, because I never realized how painful these classes are. Really, I find myself quite arrogant now that I think of it. It's a pity I can't turn back the clock on this one.
Trigonometry was never my forte to begin with, but from what I learned in high school, I thought I had a decent grip on the subject so that I would not have much problems understand or at least getting a 'B' in the class. However, it turned out into something terrible, because for one, I could not for the life of me remember anything about the subject for some reason. Second, my teacher seems to have it in his mind to give use a one and a half hour lecture AFTER we just had rushed through a one and a half hour test.
What the hell, teacher?
Anyway, another reason is because he is one of those returning teachers who is using old, old, old methods of teaching, which just gave everyone else headaches.
I hope everyone else out there won't have bad luck like me, and I hope teachers out there will... well, be nicer to your students for one, and at least try to be open minded to suggestions... Like my suggestion of reviewing before a test, which was somehow shot down.
Again, I repeat the question, "What the hell, teacher?"
Welp, time to look for a math tutor...
